
Receptionist/Social Services Clerk

STATUS : FT/40 Hours- Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
One year of Phone, Administration support, or customer service
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of general office procedures
High attention to detail, consistent, reliable follow-through, and able to prioritize projects
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, maintaining a positive attitude
Must have the ability to work with the public and be a representative of The Salvation Army's image in the community
Valid Arizona Driver's License w/clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming calls, provide general information and resources to the public, and direct calls to the proper extensions
Assist visitors in the front reception area
Compose a variety of correspondence, flyers,
Maintain the Daily sign-in form for clients
Provide receipts to donors with walk-in donations
Provide client intake and interview, collect necessary documentation from clients seeking emergency food box assistance
Enter recipient statistic information into the Community Food Bank database
Order food supplies from the Community Food Bank
Manage preparation, distribution of food boxes, and frozen food program
Open, sort, and distribute mail with a 2nd staff member, handle post office deliveries, and pick up when needed
Keep appropriate client/participant records, gift-in-kind donations,
Handle statistical information for all programs, document appropriately
Handle monthly audit of credit card processing equipment
Assist with daily income/deposit following TSA procedures
Handle data entry for After School/Summer Day Camp programs
Keep files on all Amphi Corps vehicles, including regular maintenance records, recalls and registration, mileage logs, and arrange repairs and maintenance
Maintain a community resource contact list
Scan and upload invoices into AP Workflow to be submitted to Divisional Headquarters
Process office supply orders, ensuring the copy room is adequately stocked and organized
Maintain database and log sheets documentation for volunteers
Assist with holiday efforts, Kettles, Angel Tree, and events such as Harvest Festival, etc.
Participate in staff meetings, child safety, individual and staff development activities
Assist with the After-School program as requested

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
