Welder Machine Operator

Operate and maintain machinery used in fabrication, ensuring proper function and production efficiency. This role includes operating robotic welding equipment, troubleshooting minor mechanical or programming issues, and tacking and welding sheet metal components using GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding). The position demands inspecting weldments for defects and monitoring automated welding equipment to ensure consistent weld quality and adherence to specifications.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming issues.
Tack and weld sheet metal components using GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding).
Inspect weldments for defects and monitor automated welding equipment to ensure consistent weld quality.
Perform related tasks such as grinding, cutting, deburring, and removing scrap from tables to maintain workflow.
Follow and enforce PPE requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
Assist in the final assembly of products, ensuring proper fit and finish.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
Essential Skills
Basic MIG welding skills
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to pass a 3G weld test

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift with a flexible start time between 6am and 8am. The role requires an 8-hour workday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Fishers, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
