Machine Operator

The machine operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machines that produce parts, products, or components in a manufacturing environment. This role involves adhering to safety protocols, maintaining product quality, and ensuring the machines are functioning at optimal levels. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Key Responsibilities

Machine setup: Prepare and set up machines for production runs, ensuring they are properly calibrated and functioning according to specifications.
Operate machinery: Operate machines, such as CNC machines, injection molding machines, presses, lathes, or other equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Monitor production: Observe machines during operation, monitoring for proper functioning, material usage, and quality of output.
Quality control: Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments to machines as needed to maintain specifications.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues with machines or production processes and make necessary repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime.
Maintain machines: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts when necessary.
Safety compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production counts, maintenance performed, and other relevant data.
Continuous improvement: Suggest improvements in machine operations, processes, and safety procedures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, quality control teams, and other departments to ensure production goals are met and to resolve any issues in the production process.
