Transportation Driver
A reliable and professional Transportation Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our clients. This includes driving individuals to various destinations, maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition, and ensuring a comfortable and secure journey for all passengers.
Essential Job Functions:
Safely transport clients to and from various destinations, including but not limited to airports, appointments, shopping centers, and events.
Follow all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Assist passengers in entering and exiting the vehicle, including helping with assistive devices, luggage, or other items.
Conduct regular maintenance checks on the vehicle, such as checking oil, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
Always keep the vehicle clean and presentable, both interior and exterior.
Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring passengers feel comfortable and secure throughout their journey.
Be punctual and reliable in pick-up and drop-off schedules.
Address any passenger concerns or needs during transportation.
Be prepared for emergent situations. Follow emergency plan for situations including but not limited to adverse passenger health events, car accidents, or inclement weather.
Efficiently plan routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
Utilize GPS and other navigation tools effectively.
Stay informed about current traffic conditions and adjust routes as necessary.
Accurately log travel details, including mileage and fuel consumption.
Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Keep a detailed record of all incidents and or complaints.
Adhere to all DOT transportation laws and company policies.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols above all else.
Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, and annual training.
Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.
Experience Qualifications & Skills:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience in a driving role preferred.
Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible schedule, including availability for evening and weekend shifts.
Physical Demands:
The position requires an ability to safely operate vehicles including an SUV and a 14-passenger bus.
Walk/Stand
must be able to continuously walk and stand.
Environment Condition
must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
Sit
sit infrequently.
Lift - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11
50 pounds
Carry - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11
50 pounds.

Climb
must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.

must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
Twist or rotate
must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck while, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
Reach must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.
Sensory Vision
must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses.
Hear - Must be able to hear telephone, audible alarms, bells, and signals related to resident safety with or without hearing devices.
Speech/Language
must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret administration information.
