Shipping & Receiving Supervisor | Hyde Park, UT
Nexeo HR is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor on behalf of a manufacturing client. This role is responsible for coordinating employees, tasks, equipment, schedules, deadlines, and communication within the shipping and receiving department. The supervisor serves as the liaison between shop floor operations and the Planning and Scheduling Manager, ensuring accurate communication, production flow, and deadline compliance.
This position includes supervising direct reports, overseeing workflow and documentation, supporting training, and assisting with shipping, receiving, and assembly oversight as needed.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise direct reports across shipping, receiving, forklift, and assembly/detail teams
Conduct daily morning stand-up meetings
Collect employee documents and submit to the office
Gather shop paperwork and deliver to the front office
Supervise data entry of received materials and products in Realtrac
Oversee Shipping and Receiving Clerk duties
Oversee forklift driver responsibilities
Supervise assembly and detail personnel
Train employees on company policies and procedures
Supervise yard layout, organization, and cleanliness
Assign tasks and maintain yard expectations
Assist Quality with incoming and outgoing materials and products
Supervise shipment accuracy, quality, and next-step planning
Coordinate movement of materials and products between departments
Direct movement and staging of incoming material shipments
Understand daily production schedules and report completion status to the Planning & Scheduling Manager
Communicate schedule, priority, and planning updates to staff
Oversee shipping records, shelf stocking, and inventory control
Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned areas
Fill in for direct reports when necessary
Oversee assembly requirements on prints for pre-shipment needs
Qualifications
Strong commitment to safety
Ability to read and follow prints, drawings, and assembly instructions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk throughout office and shop areas
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or trucks occasionally
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to locate materials
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to observe details at close range
Ability to frequently lift and move materials up to 100 lbs
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
Pay
$24.00$30.00 per hour
