What you will be doing as a MedSpeed Lead Medical Driver: The Lead Logistics Service Rep is responsible for the daily pick-up and delivery of various items, emphasizing safety and customer service. This position will also be the primary backup and will be responsible for learning all routes in the location. In addition, the Lead LSR will need to be able to learn and operate all Box Truck routes where applicable.
Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related material
Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle accurately
Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules
Demonstrate safe and
courteous driving behavior
Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction
Conduct pre/post trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle
Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong reliability
Has a flexible schedule, can learn and cover up to 100% of market route activities
Supports classroom and on-the-road job training with new team members
Assists LSRs during pre and post-route activities
Assists and communicates with LSRs on the road during their route
Route and on-demand activity monitoring
Assist with fleet preventative maintenance coordination
Ensure compliance with safety, client, & operational procedures & identify improvement opportunities with management
New location in-service; system data maintenance
Support for basic client requests such as item tracking or label ordering
Coordinate staging of materials for same-day or next-day routes
Maintain daily communication with onsite or offsite management
Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture
Other job-related duties as assigned
What you need to become a MedSpeed Medical Driver:
High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's degree preferred
Relevant industry/driving experience preferred
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
A valid driver's license and clean driving history
Due to driving requirements, must be at least 21 years of age
Demonstrated dependability and reliability
Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement.
Ability to pass initial and random background check and drug screen
Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions
Collaborative work style, able to work well within and across departments
Proficiently with Microsoft Office
