Warehouse Technician

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group.
We are currently hiring a Warehouse Technician for the warehouse located in Columbia, Maryland. As a Warehouse Technician for Structural Technologies' "Research, Development and Support Team", you will be accountable for providing warehouse support, which could include inventory checks, equipment repairs and maintenance, invoice preparation and parts ordering.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Receiving and inspection of incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock records
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, pallet wrappers, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
All other duties as assigned
Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position:
Highschool diploma or vocational degree
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot.
3+ years of experience in a warehouse, shop, plant environment
Maintenance and servicing equipment on project sites
Supporting project site utilizing specialized equipment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Skid steer and electrical knowledge preferred
OSHA certifications preferred
Prior experience with shipping and packaging hazardous materials preferred
Up to 10% of travel may be required for this position
