SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Equipment Room Agent is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining operational equipment to ensure availability, safety, and compliance with company standards. This role oversees equipment inventory, coordinates distribution and return processes, inspects equipment condition, and supports operational teams by ensuring proper equipment handling and storage. The Equipment Room Agent plays a key role in maintaining efficiency, safety, and accountability across airport operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and organize equipment storage areas to ensure proper inventory control and accessibility
Check equipment in and out to staff, maintaining accurate usage records
Inspect equipment for damage or malfunction before and after use and coordinate repairs as necessary
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and properly stored after use
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of new supplies and equipment as needed
Train staff on proper use, handling, and safety procedures for equipment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment functions and operational requirements
Implement and enforce safety protocols for equipment handling and storage
Collaborate with operational departments to meet equipment needs
Respond to staff inquiries regarding equipment availability and usage
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment maintenance, repair, and procurement
Prepare and maintain reports related to equipment status, usage, and maintenance
Participate in the development and improvement of equipment management systems and processes
Assist in emergency situations by providing necessary equipment and operational support
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, customer service, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
Apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, including written documentation
Must have reliable transportation
Previous inventory, equipment management, or warehouse experience preferred
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment
Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY / WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE
Prolonged standing and walking
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Ability to reach with hands and arms; grasp, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to hear and respond to spoken voice and audible alarms in a terminal environment
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
