About This Opportunity
Schedule/Hours: M
F 9:00 a.m.
2:00 p.m. (25 hours per week)
This position is responsible for:
Performing a variety of clerical support work for the command including processing HR information and maintaining the filing system of human resources documents. Providing answers and guidance for all employee matters at the command, under the direction of the supervisor and Regional HR Director (RHRD).
Key Responsibilities:
Reviews HR records and enters information as required into TSAMM and the HCM system. Tracks attendance balances and leave requests.
Coordinates recruitment and onboarding activities for the command. Processes background checks and related appeals for the location. Processes I-9 forms and E-Verify.
Assigns required employee training.
Assists with processing health insurance enrollment/termination information.
Processes background check submission requests and E-Verify entries.
Performs a variety of clerical support work including routine typing and photocopying of reoccurring correspondence, forms, lists, logs, records, etc.
Answers the telephone and provides general information regarding the department operations and/or services; processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or discomfort associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Additional secretarial courses preferred OR
