Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and execute system-level validation and verification for machines and integrated systems
Perform system integration and regression testing across hardware, software, controls, and networks
Configure machines for validation, including software flashing and test setup
Instrument systems and collect data using sensors, loggers, and diagnostic tools
Validate communication interfaces using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL) and Wireshark
Analyze logs and network data; troubleshoot multi-domain system issues
Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and validation documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve defects and validate fixes
Apply systems engineering practices to ensure requirements coverage and end-to-end system performance
Work closely with engineering teams to integrate and validate embedded electronic control systems and vision systems for remote-controlled machine applications
Operate in both office and field (on-machine) environments as part of validation activities
Required Skills
Core Technical Skills
4-5 years of system integration and validation experience in embedded systems
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills
Hands-on experience with Vector CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio; CAPL preferred)
Experience with Wireshark for network packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of networking concepts (CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, diagnostics, communication protocols)
Experience validating embedded or distributed control systems
Hands-on experience with machine setup, configuration, and instrumentation for validation
Experience in machine, vehicle, or system validation across multiple applications
Additional/Desired Technical Skills
Experience with off-highway, automotive, autonomous, or industrial machines
Exposure to requirements and test management tools (e.g., Jama, DOORS, Azure DevOps)
Experience with HIL, SIL, or automated test frameworks
Familiarity with diagnostics, logging, and data analysis tools
Experience supporting machine maintenance or test equipment upkeep
Experience handling customer-reported or field-reported issues
Soft Skills
Self-starter with high motivation and ability to learn quickly
Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
Comfortable working in lab and on-machine environments
Ability to manage multiple validation efforts in parallel
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
4+ years of relevant experience in system integration and validation
Internship experience is acceptable as part of overall experience
