Job Summary
The Banquet Operations Manager leads the planning and execution of all in-house catered events at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center. Working closely with catering, sales, and culinary teams, this role ensures seamless operations, exceptional guest experiences, and high-quality event delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations
Execute events, menus, and guest requests with strong attention to detail
Ensure team members are equipped for success
Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
Controls
Maintain safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
Plan and manage inventory, equipment, and operational needs
Team
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
Support team productivity, morale, and engagement
Requirements
1–2 years of catering or banquet management experience
Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
Ability to work flexible schedules and meet physical job demands
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher
2–4 years of fine dining or operations management experience
Food, beverage, and wine knowledge
ServSafe certification
