REQUIRED: ICD-10-CM (Coding) and RHIT Associate (AA) Degree or Certified Coding Specialist. Preferred coding certification from AHIMA.
Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

The HIM coder is responsible for computer abstraction of inpatient and outpatient discharged patient records, providing documentation review, coding, and data abstracting of medical service documentation to ensure that Centennial Peaks Hospital receives appropriate reimbursement, conforms to applicable guidelines and regulations and builds rapport and cooperative relationship with Providers.

Qualifications
High School Diploma. RHIT Associate (AA) Degree or Certified Coding Specialist, preferred coding certification from AHIMA.
2+ years' experience as a medical coder and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Behavioral health coding experience preferred.
Work experience in Health Information Management and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to navigate coding system(s) 3M Encoder and Hybrid Medical
Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
