Job Details
Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Quality Manager to oversee all quality assurance and quality control functions at their Middletown, NY corrugated manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in corrugated packaging, strong leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Quality Management System (QMS) for the plant, ensuring compliance with internal and customer-specific standards

Lead a team of quality technicians and oversee daily quality control operations across all production shifts

Manage non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes

Interface directly with key customers to resolve quality concerns and ensure long-term satisfaction

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product quality, waste reduction, and line efficiency

Lead audits (internal and external) and maintain documentation and reporting for regulatory and customer requirements

Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to drive process improvements and defect prevention

Top Skills & Experience Required

Corrugated packaging or converting experience – required

5+ years in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of QMS, CAPA, SPC, and ISO or customer-driven standards

Demonstrated success leading and developing quality teams

Proficient in quality tools (Pareto, 5 Why, FMEA, Control Plans)

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred but not required
