
Project Manager (Stratford)

The ideal candidate will estimate, oversee, coordinate and report on mechanical system and/or piping installation projects, assuring that appropriate manpower and resources are available and utilized with the highest degree of efficiency. Complete projects on schedule and within budgets. Assure that customer requirements are satisfied. Develop and motivate a highly productive, loyal team of installers, sheet metal workers, plumbers and/or pipe fitters.
Responsibilities
Work with Operations Manager to plan and schedule projects, assuring that necessary resources are available.
Manage projects from design through to field installation and job closeout. Assure that work conforms to approved plans and is delivered on time and on budget.
Oversee and coordinate field installation activity, assuring that the appropriate personnel, materials and resources are at work sites.
Communicate with contractors and clients as appropriate, assuring that client requirements are satisfied and quality standards are met.
Resolve day-to-day operational problems.
Support the sales process by developing accurate, timely estimates of cost and profitability for prospective work.
Manage project teams, supervising employees, building a highly skilled, high morale, highly productive team.
Provide effective communication processes throughout the field teams, including prompt distribution of plans, specifications, shop drawings, job scope; conducting team meetings; distributing written communications, telecommunications, etc.
Maintain paperwork and records required by the position in the company ERP. This includes processing change orders, purchase orders, contracts, RFI log, accurate job files.
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, and/or plumbing/piping through on-the-job training and five or more years of HVAC experience.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
Familiar with MS Office with well-established skills in using Excel.
Experience using project management software is preferred.
