A private UHNW family is seeking a
highly hands-on Houseman
to support the daily operations and overall readiness of multiple residences in
Palm Beach (winter)
and
Southampton (summer) .
This is a
live-in, seasonal role
ideal for someone organized, proactive, and comfortable working directly with a principal in a fast-moving, high-standard environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring both homes are consistently maintained, organized, and fully prepared—supporting everything from property upkeep and vendor coordination to direct principal requests and household operations.
This is a
true “wear many hats” position
requiring strong follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently.
Key Responsibilities
Property & Household Support
Maintain interior/exterior spaces to high standards
Conduct walkthroughs and proactively identify needs
Support seasonal transitions between residences
Manage inventory, organization, and household readiness
Assist with pet care (feeding, walking, coordination)
Vendor & Operations Coordination
Research, source, and coordinate vendors
Oversee vendor work and ensure quality execution
Maintain organized service records and documentation
Direct Principal Support
Work closely with the principal on day-to-day and special projects
Provide clear updates and execute tasks with discretion
Respond promptly via text and digital communication
Household Team Collaboration
Coordinate with staff across residences
Serve as liaison between properties
Ensure accountability and follow-through across the team
Administrative & Tech Support
Manage spreadsheets, vendor logs, and tracking systems
Document updates in platforms like Basecamp
Organize digital files, manuals, and household records
Adapt to smart home systems and household tech
Structure
Palm Beach:
November – April
Southampton:
April – November
Travel required during seasonal transitions
Live-in required (Southampton + Palm Beach)
✅ Qualifications
Prior experience in a
private household (senior-level)
required
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working directly with a principal (frequent communication via text)
Strong research and problem-solving skills
Hands-on, practical, and solutions-oriented
Physically capable of active household tasks
Excellent communication and professionalism
References from prior principals required
