The TRG Manufacturing Search Division seeks a
CAPEX Project Manager
to join a leading global OEM equipment manufacturer as the team continues to expand capacity. With demand outpacing current production capabilities, this high-visibility role will support major equipment investments, automation upgrades, and new production capabilities.
As a CAPEX Project Manager, you will lead medium-to-large capital equipment projects from concept through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and on budget. You will manage capital investments that may include $1M+ purchase orders and a $5–10M project portfolio, working closely with engineering, operations, finance, procurement, maintenance, quality, EHS, legal, and site leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CAPEX experience in a discrete manufacturing environment who enjoys automation, equipment layouts, financial justification, and cross-functional leadership. Experience with robotics, mechatronics, test systems, AutoCAD, MS Project, Gantt charts, and Industry 4.0 / Plant 5.0 initiatives is highly valuable.
Background:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
3+ years of capital equipment project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience managing CAPEX projects for discrete manufacturing operations
Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Gantt charts, and project execution tools
AutoCAD experience, including plant layouts and equipment layouts
Demonstrated understanding of ROI, capital budgeting, financial modeling, and project justification
Experience with automated lines, robotics, test lines, mechatronics, or plant automation is strongly preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, site leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
