The City of Auburn Parks, Arts, & Recreation Department is seeking a dynamic
Registration Clerk/Office Assistant.
This position performs routine clerical work that includes basic keyboarding, data entry, calculating, filing, and frequent interaction with the public in person and over the phone.

OUR PARKS DEPARTMENT Auburn's Recreation Division provides opportunities for the public to participate in diverse recreational programs and activities designed to meet the needs of the community. These programs include preschool, youth, teen, and adult leisure programs; youth, teen, and adult athletics; fitness and wellness programs; programs designed to provide social and recreational opportunities to senior citizens and those with special needs, and a host of special events suitable for the entire family and community at large. Primary Duties
In this role, you will:
Courteously and effectively
work with public officials, citizens, registrants, special populations participants, and other employees, both in person and over the phone.
Greets customers
as they arrive at the building.
Assist the public with a wide variety of information pertaining to City and department programs, facilities, services and community activities.
Act as a
cashier
for department program fees;
reconciles funds.
Take messages and complaints
from citizens and the community in a polite and professional manner.
D
etermine nature of message
or complaint
and, if it cannot be resolved by employee, refers to appropriate staff or department head.
Develop, update and generate
class rosters and mailing lists for Parks, Arts and Recreation programs.
Be responsible for administration of the
ACTIVENet
database to schedule, record and process class and athletic programs.
