Typical Day in the Role
Purpose of the Team
This team supports and strengthens the security, compliance, and accessibility posture of cloudbased services and digital tools across the organization.
Key Projects
This role contributes to accessibility efforts across multiple business groups and applications, focusing on assessments of a broad range of digital properties.
Daily Responsibilities
Review automated accessibility scan results and identify highrisk findings
Troubleshoot scan failures, false positives, and configuration issues
Perform manual WCAG-based accessibility testing (keyboard, screen reader, contrast, ARIA)
Document findings with clear reproduction steps, severity ratings, and recommendations
Meet with engineering teams to explain issues and provide remediation guidance
Validate fixes and perform retesting of remediated components
Ensure automated scans are configured correctly and run on schedule
Log findings into the designated worktracking system
Maintain an updated inventory of all sites and applications in scope
Track accessibility compliance, update dashboards, and prepare status reports
Assist teams with required accessibility scans and tooling
Monitor adherence to WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in accessibility workflows
Ideal Candidate Profile
A strong candidate is experienced with manual and automated accessibility testing tools, comfortable triaging issues, and adept at explaining accessibility concepts to engineering teams. They communicate clearly, stay organized, and work independently across multiple teams and projects.
