POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for tasks in relation to receiving and/or replenishing pet food and accessory products utilizing RF scanner. Separate, put away and ensure accurate inventory of product. Rotate product that has expiration dates. Responsible for maintaining accuracy while receiving and replenishing. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below.
SHIFT DETAILS
Day Shift:
Monday thru Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
STARTING WAGES
Day Shift:
$16.50 - $18.50 per hour based on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately review counts of all incoming shipments. Record shortages and reject damaged items.
Receive incoming goods by unloading trucks and shipping containers. Move items from overstock areas to picking locations.
Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs.
Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in other departmental areas.
Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and procedures including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and related activities as directed.
Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Safely operate and become certified in use of electric pallet jack, walk-rider, forklift and/or other required equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 or more years related warehouse experience, preferred.
Previous forklift certification and RF scanner experience, preferred.
Ability to count and perform basic math.
Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).
