Position Description
The Operations Data Analyst supports supply-chain and manufacturing operations by maintaining and, with direction, building data flows that enable operational reporting and analysis. This role is embedded within the
operations organization
and focuses on making operational data reliable, usable, and timely for planners, buyers, and operations leaders. The position uses
Power Query, Alteryx, and SAP exports
to support execution, performance tracking, and continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Data Support
Partner with supply-chain and operations teams to support day-to-day decision making
Support analysis related to inventory, production, purchasing, logistics, and lead times
Translate operational questions into structured data outputs and recurring reports
Data Flow Maintenance & Development
Maintain existing operational data flows and reporting data sets
With guidance, build new data flows using
Power Query and Alteryx
Execute and manage
SAP data exports
used in operational reporting
Ensure data refreshes align with daily, weekly, and monthly operational cadence
Data Quality & Documentation
Validate data accuracy and reconcile discrepancies
Identify data issues and partner with stakeholders to resolve them
Document data sources, definitions, assumptions, and refresh processes
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with planners, buyers, supervisors, and analysts
Support continuous improvement efforts through better data visibility
Learn and apply data best practices while increasing independent execution
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience or coursework using
Power Query and/or Alteryx
Exposure to
SAP or ERP systems
in an operations or supply-chain context
Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to follow direction and operate effectively in a hands-on operations environment
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of experience supporting operations, supply chain, or manufacturing teams
Experience with Excel-based operational models and Power BI (or similar tools)
Basic SQL experience
Familiarity with manufacturing, procurement, or logistics processes
