Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per year (+15% bonus).
Job Overview
As the Director of FP&A, you will oversee all aspects of financial reporting and ensure accurate, timely reporting of financial information. You will collaborate closely with the finance and accounting team and senior leadership to support corporate goals, cash flow management, capital deployment, and expense management. The role supports the broader organization through financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic initiatives in a fast‑growing, dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage the financial reporting function, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Act as a strategic partner to internal executives and leadership, helping set departmental goals and analyze budget and trend variances.
Support the CFO in producing board financial packages and ad‑hoc presentations/forecasts.
Oversee the preparation and filing of timely financial statements, including quarterly and annual reports, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead efforts to enhance the application of technology to the financial reporting function, expanding capabilities with Planful/BlackLine and exploring additional tools.
Drive implementation of new partners and sales channels.
Provide technical accounting guidance and support to various departments, ensuring proper accounting treatment for complex transactions.
Assist with audit requests (internal and external).
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Experience in FP&A management within a fast‑paced environment, preferably Private Equity owned; background in Big 4 accounting, consulting, or banking a plus.
Insurance accounting exposure (IBNR, DAC, premium revenue/loss metrics, premium recognition, loss ratios/triangles).
Hands‑on experience with Planful/BlackLine and proficiency in advanced Excel.
Understanding of insurance‑related accounting concepts a plus.
Prior experience with an insurance company or service of insurance clients.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to successfully pass a background check.
