
DYAD Elective Media Consultant

Job Description
Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network’s school in Wichita Falls, TX – Hirschi Middle School – is seeking a DYAD Media Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students.
Third Future Schools provides student elective access through DYAD Electives, a specialized experiential learning model designed to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st‑century skills through hands‑on learning experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective‑style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in media.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through media showcases, presentations, displays, screenings, or other demonstrations of learning.
Qualifications
Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in media, communications, digital content, broadcasting, or a related field.
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning.
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement.
Compensation
Hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
