We're seeking a Creative Services Director to own the station's creative vision and lead strategic marketing initiatives that grow audience, strengthen brand loyalty, and deepen community impact. This role is the connective hub across Sales, News, Programming, and Promotions, aligning teams around integrated campaigns that support station priorities and revenue goals. The ideal candidate brings strong marketing instincts, a modern multi‑platform mindset, and the ability to turn insights into high‑performing creative and community partnerships. This position reports to the General Manager and leads cross‑functional teams to execute station‑wide marketing and creative campaigns.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute integrated, multi‑platform marketing strategies that strengthen WHSV's competitive position.
Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic community partnerships aligned with station values and brand priorities.
Plan and execute station events, sponsorship activations, and promotional campaigns that increase engagement and visibility.
Partner with Sales leadership to develop client‑facing creative and revenue‑generating sponsorship concepts.
Coach, develop, and elevate commercial and station promotion producers; establish clear standards, workflows, and quality controls.
Recruit, mentor, and supervise the Creative Services team, building a collaborative, innovative, high‑performance culture.
Qualifications / Requirements
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
5+ years of experience in marketing, media, and/or creative services.
Strong command of multi‑channel marketing, including digital media strategy.
Demonstrated success in identifying, building, and scaling strategic partnerships.
Proven project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills across writing, speaking, and presentations.
Experience working within the broadcast and/or media industry.
Proficiency with marketing analytics, major social platforms, and creative production tools.
Preferred
Experience supporting and/or coaching on‑air talent.
2+ years of people leadership or management experience.
Event planning and community engagement experience.
Working knowledge of commercial production processes and advertising standards.
