We Build What Matters.
We’re seeking a seasoned Industrial Piping/Mechanical Superintendent to play a pivotal role in our industrial and water/wastewater construction projects. This leadership position is responsible for managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex piping systems and mechanical equipment, ensuring every phase meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
With deep field experience and a thorough understanding of piping design, materials, and installation practices, you’ll guide teams through technical challenges, support field execution, and uphold project specifications. Occasionally working hands‑on alongside crews, you’ll foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Ensure mechanical and piping work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Supervise, mentor, and develop crew members to enhance performance, safety, and technical capability.
Interpret drawings and specifications; oversee equipment installations and resolve technical issues in compliance with industry standards.
Manage small procurements, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate effectively with trades and project management.
Enforce site safety for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Lead daily safety briefings and weekly toolbox talks.
Report and document incidents within 24 hours.
Maintain and inspect safety equipment to ensure compliance.
Attend supervisor meetings and training sessions.
Align crew activities with project schedules.
Develop and communicate 5‑week work plans.
Track labor, equipment, and material costs.
Coordinate with owners, engineers, and municipal departments.
Manage shutdown plans (MOPOs).
Submit daily reports and photo documentation.
Review and update drawings based on field conditions.
Ensure quality work and manage as‑built documentation.
Oversee equipment inspections and operator reports.
Who You Are
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in piping construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook and software used for documentation and drawing updates.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, communicate clearly, and solve problems efficiently.
Strong personal integrity and a solid work ethic are essential.
Physically capable of working in outdoor environments, lifting materials, and operating in confined or elevated spaces.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position requires working on construction sites in extreme temperatures. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and use hand tools associated with the construction industry. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust and focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, kneel, bend, reach with hands and arms, hear, and talk.
