UT San Antonio invites applications and nominations for the Dean, School of Health Professions. The Dean will report to the Senior Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and Health System.
Responsibilities
Build upon the School’s legacy of excellence in education, research, and clinical service.
Expand program offerings and interprofessional learning opportunities.
Collaborate with other professional health schools and external partners to promote interprofessional education, training, and research.
Serve as an integral leader of the health science center’s leadership team, collaboratively advancing health outcomes in Texas and beyond.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) or equivalent terminal degree.
Nationally recognized scholar with a strong track record of academic excellence and professional accomplishment.
Demonstrated success leading an academic, clinical, and research enterprise, fostering programmatic growth through innovation and collaboration.
School Overview
The School of Health Professions (SHP) enrolls the largest number of students at UT San Antonio’s Health Science Center, offering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Medical Laboratory Sciences, Emergency Health Services, Imaging Sciences, Physician Assistant Studies, Respiratory Care, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Health Sciences.
