The Business Management Department sits at the intersection of business, technology, and innovation, making it central to the university’s mission and future growth.
Bridging technology and enterprise, the Business Management Department develops leaders who think strategically, act ethically, and innovate in an increasingly digital economy. Grounded in Oregon Tech’s polytechnic mission, the department delivers industry‑aligned, hands‑on education that integrates business fundamentals, technology, and experiential learning. Faculty bring strong academic credentials and industry experience, fostering close mentorship and practical engagement that prepare students for leadership roles across sectors.
The department currently comprises 11 full‑time faculty and serves more than 200 students across Klamath Falls, the Portland‑Metro campus, and online programs. Business Management plays a central role in workforce development, entrepreneurship, and regional engagement – connecting students to industry, community partners, and applied learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.

Additional Requirements
Ph.D. or terminal degree in a Business, Management, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
Academic record and professional experience sufficient for appointment at the rank of Full Professor.
Prior experience in academic leadership, program coordination, or administrative management in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of teaching excellence in higher education and relevant industry experience.
Experience leading accreditation and assessment processes (IACBE preferred).
Demonstrated success in curriculum development, program growth, and faculty mentoring.
History of applied or empirical research, scholarly publication, or professional engagement.
Experience developing external partnerships, sponsored projects, or industry‑supported initiatives.
