General Superintendent (Nationwide)
Location:
Nationwide (100% travel required)
Salary:
$180-$215k DOE
R-2 Contractors is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated
General Superintendent
to provide leadership across multiple projects and field teams nationwide. This role is critical in driving consistency, performance, and accountability across our operations while developing the next generation of leaders.
We are looking for a leader who is

Responsibilities
Provide oversight and leadership across multiple heavy civil, foundation, and underground utility projects
Train, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel
Establish clear expectations and provide practical examples of success to guide teams
Ensure
health and safety
remains the top priority across all job sites
Drive accountability at all levels of field leadership
Ensure projects are properly planned, staffed, and executed to meet schedule and performance goals
Reinforce and gain traction with company processes, procedures, and standards
Collaborate with Project Managers, leadership, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
Identify risks, inefficiencies, and gaps, and implement solutions proactively
Promote a culture of teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
Communicate openly with executive leadership regarding performance, challenges, and opportunities
Support workforce planning and help build strong, scalable field teams
Requirements
10–15 years of experience
in the Utility Scale Power & Renewables industry (heavy civil, foundations, or underground utilities)
2–5 years of experience as a Senior Superintendent
in the field
2–5 years of experience as a Craft Foreman
2–5 years of experience as a craft laborer or operator
Proven leadership skills with strong, reputable professional references
Demonstrated ability to
train and develop field leaders and crews
Ability to read and interpret
construction plans and specifications
Experience working in or alongside
competitive industry environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with multiple teams to drive company results
Demonstrated tenacity and ability to gain traction with processes and procedures
Willing and able to travel
100% of the work year
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record
Preferred (Not Required)
Familiarity with the
EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)
business model
Experience with
HCSS software (HeavyJob)
