Key Responsibilities
Scale support for several data center locations and manage day‑to‑day capacity for infrastructure build‑out projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution, working under Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks for network implementation, troubleshooting, and automation.
Provide management and support of AWS's vast network infrastructure, establishing and following best practices and refining operational procedures.
Use ticketing systems and workflows to prioritize work and complete customer requests and projects.
Remove project obstacles by collaborating with stakeholders.
Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to provide after‑hours support and participate in primary responder rotation.
Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Travel Requirements
Travel within and outside of regional work area is required. The candidate must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma.
Minimum 1 year of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software).
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting (VFLs, OTDR, power meters).
Knowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
