Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Ocala, Fl

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for Ocala Operations. Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-assemblies. Ocala specializes in both low-volume high-mix and high-volume production that uses automated processes and labor-intensive manufacturing. Ocala has a represented manufacturing workforce supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans for electronic, cable & harness, and electromechanical assemblies, including material and process specifications.

Use basic drafting and software programs to develop process plans, tooling, support equipment, and process flows.

Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.

Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce cost and increase yields.

Communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

Investigate root causes of failures/defects and implement corrective actions to support continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent professional engineering experience.

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

3+ years of professional experience.

Desired Skills

Green Belt or Black Belt trained in Lean Six Sigma.

Cable and harness manufacturing experience per IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620.

Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

Experience with Non‑Recurring Engineering.

Ability to lead and train peers.

Familiarity with Windchill and MPMLink.

Detail oriented.

Excellent process development and documentation skills (MS Office).

Experience with visual-based work instructions.

CAD proficiency (Creo and AutoCAD preferred).

Experience with benchtop cable and harness equipment (wire strippers, Cirris testers, automatic crimpers, etc.).

Clearance Level: None.

Location: Ocala, Florida.

Work Schedules: 4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week.
