AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

Key Responsibilities

Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.

Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.

Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.

Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.

Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Additional responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations and day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.

Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required; a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are necessary.

Physical Requirements

Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.

Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.

Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.

Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.

Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

A Day in the Life

Provide first‑level networking devices to serve customer racks, track network rack intake and delivery, coordinate rack space, power and cooling, and work with network engineers to ensure configurations are ready.

Console builds (and room builds) to expand space and capacity for customer racks.

Work with ID‑Scaling peers to build higher‑level networking devices.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.

1+ years of computer networking experience.

High school or equivalent diploma.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in data center, networking engineering, systems engineering or construction management with a good understanding of data center technologies such as power, cooling and controls systems.

Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
