Network Engineer
Position Purpose
A network engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks within the organization and between organizations. The network engineer will apply current technical knowledge, proven communication and problem-solving skills and established best practices while designing, implementing, supporting and documenting client networks.
Minimum Education Required
Associate Degree in: Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience Required
1 to 3 years

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
Ability to organize, analyze, problem-solve technical issues (including knowledge transfer).
Maintain and create documentation of all networked systems.
LAN/WAN network infrastructure, service, and topologies within the TCP/IP and OSI model.
Knowledge of enterprise virtualization platforms.
Enterprise Storage Systems: SAN, NAS, and backups.
Microsoft Technologies: active directory, azure, system center.
Security: knowledge of enterprise network and system security needed to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
Remote Access Solutions: SSL-VPN, client-to-site VPN, site-to-site VPN.
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
Knowledge of largescale environments.
Ability to work well in a team.
Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Resourcefulness and problem solving aptitude.
Principle Accountabilities and Essential Duties
Identifies, diagnoses and resolves network problems within appropriate time frame.
Configures, tests and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
Provides legacy and enterprise systems network analysis, support and administration.
Creates and maintains documentation for all implemented network systems.
