
Portfolio Trading and Operations Associate (Minnetonka)

Primary Purpose:
The Portfolio Trading and Operations Associate supports the Portfolio Partners day-to-day operations including but not limited to trade generation and execution, worklist monitoring, and advisor communication. This position will be a point of contact for advisors’ questions, concerns, and inquiries. The ability to work and communicate well in a team environment, while focused on delivering excellent service, is critical.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Trade, reconcile, and rebalance accounts in a timely manner using trading software.
Serve as a primary point of contact for new and in-force business-related inquiries.
Manage and monitor portfolio positioning, trade reconciliation, cash management and compliance mandates in a timely manner to ensure customer service excellence.
Maintain compliance integrity and track all workflow related tasks and communication in a CRM.
Adhere to best practices regarding systems and processes to maximize efficiency and consistency, reduce errors, and maintain high quality of information.
Manage and execute communications of investment, operational, and trading strategies across all interested parties including internal teams, partnering advisors, and their staff.
Recurring and ad hoc reporting and investment proposals for internal teams and clients.
Cultivate strong advisor relationships to deliver a VIP customer service experience.
Meet or exceed the established department metrics.
Other special projects and duties as assigned within functional/knowledge area.
Job Specifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or equivalent, required.
1-3 years of investment operations experience, required.
Active FINRA Registrations – SIE, Series 7 and Series 66, or equivalent, required.
Proficiency with Envestnet Tamarac, Orion, Black Diamond, NetX360, Wealthscape, Ycharts, Morningstar, Salesforce, Albridge, or similar investment technologies, strongly preferred.
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle pressure and demanding situations with resourcefulness, tact, and confidence.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, effectively resolve conflict, and mitigate risk.
Ability to work independently with effective time management, organization, problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, make solid judgements and act with integrity, professionalism, and empathy.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
