Job Overview
The Mechanical Assembler I supports the assembly and production of highquality mechanical and electrical components used in data center infrastructure systems. This entrylevel role follows established work instructions, uses basic tools, and contributes to building enclosures, racks, panel assemblies, cable components, and other structures critical to data center reliability.
The ideal candidate is detailoriented, dependable, and committed to working safely while learning and growing in a manufacturing environment.
A Day In The Life
In this role, a typical day may include:
Assembling mechanical components, enclosures, and subassemblies using hand and power tools
Reading and following standardized work instructions, drawings, and quality guidelines
Preparing parts, hardware, and materials for assembly
Performing basic wiring tasks under guidance (routing cables, attaching connectors, securing harnesses)
Inspecting completed assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and workmanship
Labeling, packaging, or staging completed work for downstream processes
Reporting defects, material shortages, or equipment issues
Maintaining a clean and safe workstation following 5S principles
Communicating with leads and teammates to ensure production goals are met

Physical Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the employee must meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations:
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift
Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 35-50 lbs occasionally throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and repetitive hand motions
Ability to grip and operate hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, ratchets, crimpers, etc.)
Ability to distinguish colorcoded wires or labels (if applicable to the build)
Ability to work in a fastpaced production environment with moderate noise
Ability to walk, push carts, and move materials within the department
