Job Summary
The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist with expertise in advanced noninvasive cardiac imaging, including cardiac MRI and/or fetal echocardiography.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible in pediatric cardiology, possess additional training in advanced non-invasive cardiac imaging, and have a minimum of three years of post-training experience. Expertise in cardiac MRI is preferred, but candidates with expertise in fetal cardiology and/or cardiac CT will be considered. Primary clinical responsibilities include serving as a noninvasive imaging cardiologist with a focus on transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), transthoracic echocardiography (TEE), cardiac MRI and/or fetal echocardiography, with opportunities to perform and interpret cardiac CT based on experience and interest.
Additional clinical, academic and leadership opportunities are available and may be tailored to the candidate’s individual interests. The role also includes active participation in the education of pediatric cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as encouragement and support to pursue individual scholarly and academic interests.
