Position Overview
SMA (Smart Mobility Associates) is seeking a
Program & Operations Associate
to support the day-to-day operations, reporting, and growth of mobility programs in West Palm Beach.
This role will primarily support
WPBgo
, a nonprofit initiative focused on improving how people get to work and move around downtown West Palm Beach.
You will work closely with a small team to help operate and expand programs that:
reduce traffic congestion
improve access to transportation
connect people to more efficient ways of getting to work
This is an
entry-level role
with the opportunity to learn program operations, data tracking, and community-focused work from the ground up.

SMA (Smart Mobility Associates)
is a consulting and program management organization that designs and implements transportation and mobility solutions.
WPBgo
is a local nonprofit initiative, supported by SMA, that focuses on improving commuting options in West Palm Beach through employer programs, incentives, and partnerships.
This role is employed by SMA but will work directly on WPBgo programs and initiatives.
Programs You Will Support
ACCESS (Employer Program)
ACCESS works with local employers to provide employees with better commuting options, such as:
public transit passes
vanpool programs
emergency ride home options
The goal is to help employees get to work more reliably while reducing traffic and parking demand.
goRide (E-Bike Voucher Program)
goRide provides financial assistance (vouchers) to help residents and workers purchase e-bikes, making it easier to commute without a car.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations Support
Assist with implementation of ACCESS and goRide programs
Support employer onboarding (surveys, coordination, communication)
Track participation and engagement across programs
Assist with logistics for meetings, events, and program activities
Data Tracking & Reporting
Maintain and update program tracking spreadsheets and databases
Track weekly metrics and participation data
Support preparation of quarterly and annual reports
Review and organize data for accuracy
Outreach & Growth Support
Maintain outreach and partnership tracking lists
Assist with follow-ups and communications with employers and partners
Support coordination of outreach events and meetings
Help prepare materials for presentations and engagement efforts
Research & Administrative Support
Conduct research on funding opportunities and best practices
Assist with documentation of processes and workflows
Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications
Required
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) (Please state on your resume if you’re bilingual)
Interest in transportation, urban planning, or public policy
Experience with data tracking, reporting, or analysis
Experience supporting programs, events, or outreach
Work Environment & Expectations
Hybrid role
based in West Palm Beach
Must be located in
Palm Beach County
Combination of in-office and remote work
In-Person Expectations
Weekly standing team meetings held in-office
Some weeks may require multiple in-person workdays depending on activities
Remote Expectations
Standard working hours:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Participation in virtual meetings and occasional coworking sessions throughout the day
Additional Details
Laptop will be provided
Part-time or full-time position
Hourly:
$20 – $24
