Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist
Location: Fort Worth – 13501 Park Vista Blvd, TX 76177
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Schedule:
On-site for first 3 months
Monday through Friday
10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Central Time
Hybrid option available after meeting performance metrics
Must-Have Requirements:
Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
Minimum 3 years patient counseling experience
Must live within 1 hour driving distance of Fort Worth worksite
Comfortable handling phone-based counseling for 7–8 hours daily
Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Description:
The Clinical Pharmacist will provide oversight and safety for daily operations of the assigned patient care team, including management of pharmacy staff, clinical support to patients, and ensuring prescriptions are dispensed in accordance with all applicable state, federal, and board of pharmacy regulations. This role supports patient therapy outcomes through counseling, medication review, compliance monitoring, and coordination with clinicians, caregivers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive pharmacotherapy reviews for patients
Counsel patients regarding new drug therapies and treatment plans
Review drug interactions, side effects, compliance, and administration support
Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and clinicians
Verify prescription accuracy and final product quality assurance
Assist pharmacy technicians with claims adjudication and workflow support
Oversee pharmacy staff and ensure regulatory compliance
Support REMS programs and adverse event reporting
Provide on-call coverage as needed
Maintain patient charts and documentation accurately
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
3–5 years post-graduate pharmacy operations / clinical experience
Current unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing
Licensed in Texas (required)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer and documentation skills
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
Knowledge of sterile technique and quality control procedures
Experience supervising pharmacy technicians
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed in California (preferred, not required)
BCOP certification or willingness to obtain when eligible
Specialty pharmacy or oncology support experience
Hybrid work adaptability after training period
