Bright Minds utility construction client is searching for a contract Service Center Representative with Utility Damage Prevention experience.
In this role you will communicate with excavators to present excavation best practices for digging around Xcel Energy buried facilities, establishing and overseeing Xcel Energy's continuing educational program (DOT 192.616)
Daily administration of the Xcel Energy Frequent Offender Program
Represent Damage Prevention at Service Center's weekly Construction Planning Meetings
Analyze damage and failures to Xcel Energy's buried infrastructure to determine root cause and prevent reoccurrence (DOT 192.617)
Work with locate suppliers to obtain additional detailed information for assistance when locating Xcel Energy's buried facilities in accordance with the Un-Locatable Process
Oversee Critical Event Notifications to Xcel Energy management in accordance with the 1992 Reporting of Abnormal Operation Conditions — Pipeline Safety Act 1992
Perform quality control audits in conjunction with locate suppliers to ensure work is completed in compliance with state and federal laws
Back up ticket screening as necessary
Assist Company personnel with locating buried facilities as necessary
Perform on-site Toolbox meetings with excavators to present excavation best practices for digging around Xcel Energy buried facilities
Qualifications:
3 years or equivalent experience within the Damage Prevention industry
Ability to read and interpret gas and electric distribution and transmission field and engineering records and systems
Strong presentational skills with the ability to communicate effectively between Xcel Energy personnel and the excavating and field locating communities
Understanding of industry and Xcel Energy's excavation best practices
Well versed in all applicable state and federal laws governing the Damage Prevention industry
Must maintain all Operator Qualification requirements
Must have ability to locate and identify Xcel Energy's buried facilities
