Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Americas is seeking an experienced

Master Agreement Negotiator

to join our New York Chief Client Office department. This is an exciting opportunity offering a crucial role in supporting our business growth and client relationships.

Reporting to the Americas Chief Client Officer and the Global Head of Master Agreements, you will be instrumental in negotiating a wide range of Master Agreements, including ISDA CSAs, MRAs, GMRAs, MSLAs, GMSLAs, and CDEAs, for plain vanilla transactions. These agreements span a broad spectrum of clients across the Americas , including financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity funds, insurers, large asset managers and corporate clients, covering the United States, Canada and Latin America. Your expertise in understanding and applying applicable regulatory regimes such as Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID, and BRRD as they relate to master agreements will be essential. This role is part of a dynamic 3-person Master Agreement team in New York within our larger, 20+ person Master Agreement global team and 50+ person global Chief Client Office department.

Key Responsibilities:
Master Agreement Negotiation & Execution:

Draft, negotiate, and execute a high volume of Master Agreements (targeting ~100per year), demonstrating excellent intensity and efficiency.
Client Engagement:

Review client comments promptly, and proactively issue deviation requests to internal stakeholders.
Process Optimization:

Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with Natixis CIB's time and volume objectives.
Digital Workflow Adoption:

Actively utilize and promote our innovative Master Agreement Digital Workflow tool.
Risk & Compliance Assurance:

Conduct capacity and authority checks, and review close-out netting, collateral legal opinions, and supporting documents.
Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including Front Office Sales, Bankers, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax, Collateral Management, and Operations teams worldwide.
Client Relationship Management:

Interact with a broad spectrum of clients, including corporates, credit institutions, asset managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience negotiating ISDA CSAs, MRAs, GMRAs, MSLAs, GMSLAs, CDEAs, and IM documentation within a large financial institution, specifically as a Master Agreement Negotiator.
Proven experience in negotiating new contracts and amendments, with a deep understanding of netting and collateral rules, legal opinions, capacity, and authority checks.
Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework surrounding Master Agreements, including Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID, and BRRD.
Exceptional attention to detail, with robust organizational skills and a commitment to accurate record-keeping.
A results-driven approach, focused on achieving the best time-to-client outcomes and finding innovative solutions.
Excellent analytical skills and outstanding work organization capabilities.
Proven ability to take ownership, anticipate needs, and consistently meet or exceed KPI targets.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player, both regionally and globally.
Resilience and the ability to prioritize effectively, work under pressure, and maintain a self-motivated and independent work ethic.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. A J.D. degree is not required.
Demonstrated skill in written communication, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner.
A proven capacity to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, and respond creatively and swiftly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
A high degree of integrity and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to timely follow-through on all commitments.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while recognizing when to involve team members and contribute effectively within a team setting.

The salary range for this position will be between $200,000 - $240,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
