Forklift Operator

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform the unloading, loading, warehousing, and staging of merchandise throughout the Distribution Center using manual and mechanical means. A Forklift Operator is required to assist Material Handlers and/or Merchandise Processors and must be able to perform the physical requirements of these positions as well as the physical requirements listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate manual and/or mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain proper certifications to operate required Powered Industrial Trucks
• Sort, warehouse, stage, and load/unload cartons in an accurate, safe and efficient manner
• Unload inbound freight/load outbound freight
• Stage outbound freight in shipping
• Receive and warehouse incoming merchandise into module racks and floor locations
• Pull merchandise from racks or move merchandise to open areas for pulling and distribution
• Performs all aspects of the Material Handler and Merchandise Processor positions upon request of the supervisor
• Complete all paperwork for any warehousing or replenishment activity in an accurate and neat manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

  • Gripping 1-30 lbs.
  • Hear at a minimum noise level of 71dB

  • Lifting 36-50 lbs. to 62" (above shoulder heights)
  • Overhead Reaching
  • Carry 36-50 lbs. up to 10 ft.
  • Pinching 2-10 lbs.
  • Gripping 31-35 lbs.
  • Push/Pull up to 1-50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent
• Three months previous Distribution Center experience or equivalent
• Ability to perform basic math skills accurately
• Manual dexterity required
• Must be able to complete paperwork and forms neatly and accurately
• Ability to operate forklifts in accordance with Company policies and protocols
• Completion of all applicable Company-required safety and training requirements
