Job Description - This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester. Assists with managing and operating the advertising section of the Ram Page. Completes other related duties as assigned in support of the role. Applicants should include a resume highlighting relevant experience or skills. Essential job duties include:

• Serving as a liaison with the Ram Page editor and faculty adviser.
• Selling Ram Page website and social media advertising space.
• Promoting Ram Page as an advertising platform, including developing and updating promotional materials and running promotional campaigns
• Creating and maintaining an updated database of the local businesses and people of contact within these businesses.
• Maintaining a complete and accurate record of the advertising sales and budget.
• Maintaining and updating Ram Page Media Kit and helping prospective advertisers navigate through its content.
• Developing and customizing promotional sales (discounts, bundles, etc.) for prospective advertisers.
• Performing basic operations in the Ram Page website backdoor. On the job training provided if necessary or requested.
• Having basic skillset to function as a photographer in case Ram Page photographer is not available. On the job training provided if necessary or requested.
• Being able to meet tight deadlines and accommodate short notices if necessary.
• Assisting Ram Page editor in various tasks commensurate with the employee's position, skillset and abilities.
• Attending and participating in all Ram Page staff meetings (with the exception for extenuating circumstances established on case-by-case basis).
• Being available for at least some department-initiated events that involve Ram Page (e.g., welcoming visitors from high schools touring the campus and introducing them to the Ram Page, etc.).

Required Qualifications - Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes. Appropriate writing (grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, concise and clear writing style) and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications - Ability to initiate and run marketing/advertising campaigns. Ability to establish, develop and maintain contacts and business relations. Understanding/knowledge of marketing and advertising principles.

Physical Demands - Must be able to carry up to 5 lbs. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and stand for 2-4 hrs. at a time if necessary.

Salary - $11.00/hr
