Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and store products within a warehouse or production environment. This role ensures efficient material flow while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack) to transport materials

* Load and unload trucks and verify incoming and outgoing shipments

* Move materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or staging zones

* Accurately track inventory using scanners, labels, or warehouse systems

* Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

* Assist with palletizing, wrapping, and general warehouse duties as needed

* Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred

* Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

* Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

* Strong attention to detail and basic math skills

* Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or on a team

Work Environment:

* Warehouse or manufacturing setting

* May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

* Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels depending on facility
