Retail Environmental Graphic Designer Job at Chandler Inc. in Afton

We are seeking a talented Retail Environmental Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role blends visual design, storytelling, and spatial awareness to create impactful graphics, signage, and branded experiences for retail stores, trade show exhibits, and client presentations. The ideal candidate is as comfortable designing large-scale environmental graphics as they are crafting compelling design decks that inspire and inform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design environmental graphics, signage, and wayfinding systems for retail and trade show environments.
• Develop concepts, mockups, and final artwork that align with client brand guidelines and project goals.
• Create design proposals, presentation decks, and research discovery decks that clearly communicate design intent and tell a strong visual story.
• Write engaging, creative copy to support proposals, decks, and graphic messaging.
• Collaborate with internal teams (designers, project managers, fabrication partners) to ensure design intent is executed with accuracy and impact.
• Conduct research into brand, audience, and market trends to inform creative direction.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while working on multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience designing environmental graphics, retail signage, trade show exhibits, or experiential branding.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); knowledge of 3D visualization tools a plus.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
• Excellent written communication and creative copywriting skills.
• Knowledge of print production, materials, and fabrication processes for signage and large-format graphics.
• Creating content for marketing collateral
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high design quality.

Pay Range

Starting Salary $62,000 to $70,000 (+ profit sharing)

The actual base salary offered will vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, and education.
