Description
This position will support the AVP of Marketing & Communications for UH Health, supporting five health professional colleges, multiple research institutes and clinical services. Looking for a motivated, creative candidate with a variety of multimedia skills such as photography/videography, graphic design, audio/video editing, content creation for social media including Meta, LinkedIn and Youtube, reporting analytics for web and social engagement/conversions, etc.
Responsibilities
Develops and provides web-based multimedia content and services in support of the online marketing and communications strategies of a department or unit.
Provides web design and maintenance support for a department or unit including creating interactive media and interface designs.
Researches and develops themes and content ideas for online and print publications including conducting interviews, writing, editing, and publishing articles for various multimedia formats for instruction, Internet, news releases, recruiting, and marketing initiatives.
Provides photographic services to produce materials integrated across a variety of multimedia formats.
Provides videography services including motion graphic rendering and audio/video conversion and editing.
Uses advanced multimedia software applications to create and publish graphic designs in accordance with departmental goals and objectives.
Develops and maintains content distribution networks through social media channels including content for feeds and snippets in various social media sites.
Researches and recommends new media technologies to advance program initiatives. Coordinates with faculty, staff, and external clients on media-related projects.
Creates and maintains a digital library of photographs, video, graphic designs, and program collateral.
Maintains all media related equipment, facilities, and supplies.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job‑related 4‑year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in‑depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job‑related experience.
