CEXEC, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Technical Writer to join a dynamic team of professionals supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Key Responsibilities

Develop, edit and maintain high-level technical documentation based on knowledge of FAA systems.

Analyze and translate complex technical information into concise consistent documentation.

Edit, proofread and structure documents utilizing plain language and structured writing standards.

Develop diagrams, process flows, and technical graphic charts in support of presentation materials for briefings or responses to data calls.

Prepare documentation to support communications across multiple audiences (Chief Operating Officer (COO), Congressional responses, etc) utilizing strong communication skills.

Maintain document repositories and revision histories in accordance with established best practices.

Perform records management processes and procedures, including development of a records structure filing system which allows categorization, indexing, labeling and classification of records.

Oversee version control and records retention in accordance with FAA guidance.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures for Records Management or Programmatic Support as needed.

Requirements

10+ years' experience supporting the FAA or another federal agency.

FAA Experience (preferred).

Must have excellent copy‑editing skills and attention to detail.

Must be in DC Metro area.

Education

A bachelor's degree in education, English, journalism, history, or political science from an accredited college or university is required.

A certification or degree in a relevant technical field may also be considered.

Travel

0‑5% (negligible).

Salary
The projected total compensation range (monetary and non‑monetary) nationally for this position is $95,948 to $295,914 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position.
