Finish Grader Operator / Finish Grader/Crew Leader
Seaton Paving & Sitework Inc is seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Finish Grader Operator to help run our dirt crew. The Finish Grader/Crew Leader is pivotal in overseeing our projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Can do attitude and strong work ethic.
Must be an experienced finish grader.
Supervise and direct crew members in proper techniques and practices required to complete work safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Excellent communication skills; able to follow directions from management and convey objectives to crew.
Read and interpret plans/specifications to complete work in accordance with requirements; measure using methods such as string line, measuring tapes or laser level.
Observe safety procedures and report any potential unsafe conditions to management.
Good knowledge of traffic and safety rules and regulations.
Understand and calculate daily quantities for all types of materials, including base rock and fill.
Inspect equipment prior to use and at the end of shift, maintain equipment, and report any issues to management.
When not operating motorized equipment, work as a laborer or semi‑skilled laborer as assigned.
Work outdoors in Florida.
Accept responsibility and perform duties physically.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience with a solid working knowledge of excavation.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Valid FL driver’s license with a good driving record.
Good attendance and safety record.
Compensation
Based upon skill – above industry standards.
Employment Type
