Survey CAD Technician
to support land surveying and civil projects through accurate drafting and survey computations. This role partners with project managers to produce high-quality plans on schedule and within budget. You’ll also contribute to team development through training and collaboration.
This is a good fit for someone with hands‑on AutoCAD experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform survey computations and drafting for:
House stakeouts and wall checks
Final surveys and house location surveys
As‑built surveys and record plats
Subdivision layouts and easement plats
Boundary and topographic surveys
Compile and process survey data (field data, calculations, and hardcopy deliverables
Prepare accurate CAD drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines and budget targets
Participate in internal AutoCAD user groups and ongoing technical training
Support additional survey office tasks as needed
Skills, Knowledge, Expertise
1–2+ years of survey drafting or survey CAD experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred but not required)
Experience with land surveying workflows, plats, and survey computations
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
Team‑oriented with solid communication and collaboration skills
