We are seeking a detail-oriented
Legal Administrative Assistant
to provide administrative and clerical support within a legal/regulatory environment. This role involves handling communications, managing documentation, and supporting magistrates on rate-setting cases while ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to
telephone, mail, and electronic inquiries
from lawyers, paralegals, and state agencies in a professional and timely manner
Communicate effectively with
internal and external stakeholders , ensuring clear and respectful interactions
Provide administrative support to
magistrates on rate-setting cases
Manage and organize
large volumes of documents , including filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing
Process
incoming and outgoing mail , including sorting, stamping, and distribution
Handle correspondence and maintain accurate records in compliance with internal procedures
Support daily office operations and assist with additional administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum
2-4 years of administrative or clerical experience
Strong
communication, writing, and organizational skills
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work
independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a
Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Court/Legal Office staff
Prior experience working in a
government or regulatory environment
