
Quality Control Inspector/Tool Crib Attendant

B&B Manufacturing, LLC., a Solve IMG company, produces and distributes custom and standard synchronous drive products that include timing belts, timing belt pulleys, roller chain sprockets, gears and related parts for the power transmission and precision mechanical component industries. We supply distributors and manufacturers with thousands of various components.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector / Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for verifying incoming, work-in-process, and final products against specified sets of quality requirements. The ideal candidate will exercise their strong organizational skills, coupled with their high attention to detail and apply it toward quality driven reporting and record keeping. The Quality Inspector / Tool Crib Attendant will utilize both their qualitative and quantitative skills, while exhibiting a strong working knowledge of mechanical principles in their daily operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure quality of manufactured goods by comparing part dimensions and features against Solve drawings, industry standards, or customer drawings for accuracy
Perform quality tests using the appropriate instruments and equipment to gauge pass/fail grades of products, and record results accordingly
Comply with various ISO operating procedures and work instructions
Reject defective parts and mark/log type of defect(s)
Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
Inspect incoming raw material
Fill in as needed in the Tool Room, supporting operations, filling requests for hobs, inserts, drills, measuring devices and general tooling as well as maintaining required paperwork along with other duties as necessary
Maintains QA equipment by completing calibration or preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Fulfill necessary documentation requirements (such as production and quality logs)
Any other task assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degree or equivalent
2+ years related experience and/or training
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
Ability to use basic hand tools
Able to read, write and comprehend procedures, drawings, work instructions, operator instructions, customer specific documents and company policies
Computer literate
Knowledgeable of calipers, micrometers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Able to read, write and comprehend procedures, drawings, work instructions, operator instructions, customer specific documents and company policies
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining and entering accurate information in B&B ERP system
Analyzing information and evaluation results to choose the best solution and solve problems
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers via telephone, written form, e-mail or in person
The ability to meet strict deadlines or be able to communicate those that cannot be met.
Must follow all safety procedures and policies as mandated by B&B
Ability to stand on hard surface for the entire work shift
Frequent walking
