Evenings, Saturdays, and seasonal workload flexibility required
Responsibilities (All Coordinator Roles)
Cross trains in all Coordinator Roles
Provides daily direction, guidance, and coaching to assigned team members to ensure operational excellence
Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless flow of merchandise and consistent customer experience
Suggests and implements improvements to enhance the customer experience
Assists in monitoring inventory accuracy and reports any discrepancies or potential loss
Maintains quality control, removing damaged or unsellable items
Accurately tracks and records daily production, monitoring workflow efficiency and reporting key metrics to leadership to support operational improvements
Ensures policies and procedures from the Employee Handbook are followed
Promotes a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Coaches employees on best practices for merchandise handling, customer service, and operational procedures
Communicates daily needs, issues, and updates with leadership
Utilizes store systems to track inventory, production, and sales metrics accurately
Assist with staff coverage and report scheduling needs
Monitor productivity and assign tasks as needed during shifts
Ensures a uniform pricing standard for all merchandise by accurately pricing items according to store guidelines & monitoring tagged items for discrepancies or errors
Coordinates with other coordinators to resolve any pricing issues
Help train new employees and reinforce proper procedures
Promote safety and report any concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Support the mission and values of Hope Outreach in daily interactions
Lead by example in attitude, work ethic, and customer service
All other duties assigned by the Director or Employment Ministry
Store & Customer Service / Floor Coordinator Responsibilities
Responsible for all customer-facing operations
Handles customer concerns and escalates issues to leadership when necessary
Oversees cashiers, general workers, and volunteers assigned to the floor
Ensures all cash handling procedures are followed
Maintains floor organization and cleanliness throughout the shift
Ensures displays are shoppable and easy to navigate
Ensures proper and timely placement of items on the sales floor
Supports seasonal and promotional merchandising initiatives, ensuring items are displayed according to store guidelines
Sets the tone for customer service for all employees, including the 10-5-3 rule
Communicates with other Coordinators to identify areas of the sales floor needing additional merchandise
Physical / Environmental Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of merchandise
Lifting and moving large or heavy items, such as furniture, safely and efficiently
Operating store equipment and tools in accordance with safety guidelines
Willingness to become forklift certified and operate as needed
Train on and safely operates baler equipment as needed
Ability to operate a pallet jack safely
Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail/warehouse environment with occasional exposure to varying temperatures
Skills / Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Basic math skills for pricing and cash handling
Personal Qualifications
Must be a self‑starter and possess motivational skills
Must be dependable and responsible person of integrity who leads by example
Retail, warehouse, or supervisory experience is a plus
Actively involved in local denomination
Follows scriptural standards of behavior
