As a Service Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security and fire alarm systems to ensure reliable performance for our customers.
Salary : $20-$27/hour
What You'll Do
As a Security & Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain existing security and life‑safety systems in residential and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair security, fire alarm, video surveillance (CCTV) and live video monitoring systems, access control, and intercom systems
Respond to service calls, troubleshoot customer concerns, and clearly communicate system issues and resolutions
Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Identify system issues and recommend solutions or upgrades
Reprogram systems and replace faulty components
Guide customers through system operation and features in a clear, professional, and approachable way
Accurately document service activity, including diagnostics, repairs, and photos, and upload records to customer accounts through company systems
Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations
Complete work on a variety of job sites, including commercial and public projects that may be subject to prevailing wage requirements
Deliver exceptional customer care during all service visits
What You'll Need
Qualifications
2+ years of experience servicing low‑voltage security or fire alarm systems
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Experience servicing and troubleshooting security, fire alarm, video surveillance (CCTV) and live video monitoring systems, access control, or intercom systems
Ability to work independently and manage service calls
OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus
Availability for occasional after‑hours service work
Work Requirements
Ability to drive a company vehicle
Ability to work in residential and commercial environments
Willingness to travel daily within the local region, including occasional travel beyond the immediate area; company vehicle provided for business use
